Good dog hotels will have experienced staff who's job it is to make your Chihuahua as comfortable as possible.
In a dog hotel, your Chihuahua should be treated with extra care. While he or she will still miss you, you can have piece of mind that at a reputable doggie hotel, your canine companion will be happy and safe.

Their favorite blanket, if they have one
Their doggie bed, if they are used to sleeping in it
